Steam Town Studio is a creative space that offers art, science, and sensory opportunities that pique curiosity and delight the senses. The emphasis is placed on nurturing wonder through play and process. Our goal is to encourage meaningful, STEAM-based play, exploration, and discovery. Through this, the students can enter a realm where they invent new worlds, model our community, hypothesize, experiment, and discover.

    The name, Steam Town Studio, is inspired by my grandfather, who spent 30 years as an engineer for the Lackawanna Railroad—an area famously known as "Steam Town." Growing up, I was fascinated by his stories and admired the dedication and creativity in his craftsmanship. The name of this studio is very special to me, as it honors both his legacy and the rich history of the region. If your young artist, scientist, or engineer loves to create, tinker, construct, or invent then Steam Town Studio is the perfect place for them!
